Job summary

DAn Solutions in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support a highly secure enterprise IT environment.

The role focuses on LAN/WAN design, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, and TACLANE encryption devices, with opportunities to improve performance, security, and reliability. Candidate must hold active TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph; remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with six years of relevant experience, or four years with substitution.
• Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN environments.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of firewalls.
• Experience keying and upgrading TACLANE cryptographic devices.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall filtering, and proxy filtering.
• Experience troubleshooting VLANs, port security, connectivity, and outages.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance by security indoctrination date.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN environments.
• Design and support site-to-site VPNs, point-to-point, and multi-point network connections.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues including VLANs, port security, outages.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls and security devices.
• Configure and upgrade TACLANE devices and encryption; maintain secure paths.
• Develop network topologies and integration plans with providers and end users.
• Prepare network diagrams, SOPs, and engineering documentation.
• Communicate status and recommendations to leadership.
