Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Senior Information System Security Engineer to deliver security solutions for enterprise information systems and networks on site in Reston, VA. You’ll tailor cutting-edge security capabilities to meet client requirements and ensure systems are secure to support mission critical work.

This role requires TS/SCI with Poly, 8+ years of related experience, 8570 IAT2 compliance by indoctrination, and hands-on Windows/Linux administration with security

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in an area applicable to this position.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary certifications.
• Advanced Windows administration capabilities and Linux proficiency.
• Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting security tools.
• Experience with C2S Cloud, or DevOpsSec.
• Security Clearance TS/SCI and Poly

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise to ensure systems meet Information Assurance (IA) requirements and are properly accredited.
• Designs, develops, and recommends integrated security system and physical control solutions that will protect data and systems.
• Assist IA team in A&A process using RMF for classified systems obtaining and maintaining Interim Authorization to Test (IATT), ATC and ATO.
• Offers technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions, managing information-related risks.
• Works closely with the client during the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into actionable technical designs.
• Develop comprehensive system test plans (STP) to assess the security posture of the information systems.
• Analyze scan results and security findings to prioritize remediation efforts and implement corrective measures.
