Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design and engineer network solutions for DoW IT architecture. You will build and maintain LAN/WAN networks, provide documentation, and support secure data flows and firewall rules.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph readiness and strong communication skills. The position is on customer site with opportunities for professional growth including paid education and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field applicable to this work.
• 6+ years of related experience.
• Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred); must be 8570 compliant by date of security indoctrination with CE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop voice, video, RF, and data communications networks.
• Engineer, design, implement LANs/WANs, VPNs, and site-to-site connections; oversee servers, storage and backups; troubleshoot security and VLAN issues.
• Solve complex network issues, evaluate and propose upgrades to increase capability, reliability and cost savings.
• Create network topologies, provide engineering designs and plans for installation, integration, testing, and maintenance.
• Document requirements, planning, development, and communicate current network status.
