Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) in Reston, VA, is seeking a Network Engineer Senior/Associate to design and support the DoD IT architecture. The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, 6+ years of related experience, and 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience
• Bachelor degree in a field applicable to this work
• 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred) and continuing education for certification
• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and develop voice, video, RF, and data networks
• Engineer and implement LANs/WANs, VPNs, site-to-site connections; oversee servers, storage, and backups
• Troubleshoot network issues, configure firewall rules, and optimize data flows
• Create network topologies and engineering documentation for deployment, testing, and maintenance
• Perform network studies for bandwidth, security, and reliability
