Job summary

Amentum in Ft. Meade, MD is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a mission‑critical team that supports the Nation’s security and intelligence mission. You will design, build and troubleshoot network and network security architectures, and coordinate hardware requirements for deployments.

The role requires CCNP, 10+ years in network engineering and a TS clearance with SCI eligibility, with travel up to 20%. Work is performed in a SCIF and may include datacenter environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field or 5 years of Network Engineering experience.
• 10+ years of network engineering with 3 years in design/architecture and implementation.
• CCNP certification and DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II baseline certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and troubleshoot network and network security architecture.
• Analyze and develop hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Provide engineering escalation support for LAN/WAN operations, troubleshooting, and security appliances.
• Coordinate with IA Security Engineers to validate designs against security controls and maintain DISA STIGs.
• Create, review, and update technical documentation for integration projects.
• Provide deployment and sustainment documentation for network equipment and services.
• Identify and diagnose complex performance, security, and technical issues.
