Job summary

Amentum is seeking a mid-level network engineer to support a DoD DISA program at Fort Meade, MD. You will design, deploy, troubleshoot, and sustain complex network architectures in a SCIF environment with up to 20% travel.

The role requires CCNP, TS clearance, and hands-on experience with IS-IS/OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS, DMVPN/SD-WAN, and security controls. You will collaborate with IA engineers and create deployment documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• CCNP certification mandatory; DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II/IAM-I baseline certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and troubleshoot network and network security architecture.
• Provision and test IS-IS and/or OSPF networks; MP-BGP underlays/overlays.
• Configure MPLS (RSVP-TE, LDP, SR-MPLS) and routing policy/redistribution.
• Support LAN/WAN operations, network security appliances, and incident response.
• Coordinate with IA engineers to validate designs against security controls and DISA STIGs.
• Create and maintain deployment and sustainment documentation.
