Job summary

Amentum in Fort Meade, MD offers a senior network engineering role supporting DISA network capabilities. This position requires 10 years of experience with advanced routing, security architectures and DoD compliance, including DISA STIG alignment.

You will design, implement and sustain complex networks and security solutions, often in a SCIF setting. The role demands independence and teamwork, with up to 20% travel, a Top Secret clearance, and a bachelor’s degree in an IT field.

Qualifications

• CCNP certification required and DoD 8570 baseline IAT-II/IAM-I.
• 10 years of network engineering with 3 in design/implementation.
• Experience with IS-IS/OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS, DMVPN/SD-WAN and STP.
• Ability to travel up to 20% and operate in a SCIF environment.
• Security controls validation and DISA STIG preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and troubleshoot complex network and security architectures.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN operations, network automation, and security appliances.
• Create deployment and sustainment documentation and templates.
• Coordinate with IA Security Engineers to maintain Authority to Operate.
• Provide engineering escalation support for network issues.
