Job summary

Amentum is assembling a skilled network engineering team to support DISA-provided critical network capabilities. The role focuses on designing, building, and testing robust network and security architectures, including underlays/overlays, with attention to security controls and documentation.

The position requires hands-on experience across LAN/WAN, VPN, IPSec, and STIG implementation, with potential travel up to 20% and a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field, or an additional five (5) years of Network Engineering experience.
• 10 Years of network engineering w/ 3 years of network design architecture and implementation.
• CCNP certification and DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II or IAM-I baseline requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and troubleshoot network and network security architecture.
• Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Provide engineering escalation support for all network and network security operations activities including LAN/WAN operations.
• Coordinate with IA Security Engineers to validate designs against security controls and DISA STIG requirements.
• Create, review and update technical documentation; provide deployment and sustainment templates.
