Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Reston, Virginia, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and support LAN/WAN networks for the TAC2O Program IT architecture. The role requires TS/SCI with poly and hands-on firewall and network protocol expertise.

The position involves on-site work, development of documentation, and ongoing assessment of security and performance. Salary ranges reflect geography, experience, and education, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Firewalls.
• Current networking certifications.
• Understand the operation of network protocols and Firewall packet and proxy filters.
• Bachelor’s Degree plus six years of relevant experience; four more years may substitute for the degree.
• 8140 compliance now or by security indoctrination date.

Responsibilities

• Perform network design and engineering support for the TAC2O Program IT architecture.
• Design, implement or maintain networks for LAN and WAN systems.
• Prepare network engineering documentation from requirements to deployment and status updates.
• Assist in evaluating and proposing new network systems and upgrades to increase capabilities and cost savings.
• Maintain technical manuals and standard operating procedures.
• Develop/implement network communications paths for remote data sources.
