Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 8–10 years directly related experience.
  • Experience with routing, switching, and firewall configuration in multi-vendor environment (Dell, Cisco, Juniper).
  • Experience in WAN, LAN, out-of-band management, and Storage architecture and environments.
  • Problem solving and time management capabilities.
  • Experience working independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • US Citizenship required and security investigation eligibility for access to classified information.
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification.
  • Active security clearance (Top Secret/SCI) and ability to maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and support network equipment including virtual and physical routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Dell).
  • Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Accurately document instances of network equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Investigating faults in the network, perform analysis, diagnose, and resolution of complex network problems, and recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate services, troubleshooting, and resolutions with 3rd party transport providers.
  • Perform capacity analysis and planning to ensure growing traffic demand.
  • Coordinate and execute scheduled upgrades.
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
  • Accurately document and maintain ATO documentation including SOP development and artifact submission to ISSM/government representatives.
  • Assist in monitoring Cybersecurity continuous monitoring requirements (SIEM, log review, validation of security controls, hardening).
  • Interface with third-party support and equipment vendors as needed.
