Job summary

iT1 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its Consulting team in Tempe, AZ. The role provides senior ownership for network, connectivity, wireless, security, optical, voice, and UC infrastructure within managed services, focusing on service restoration, complex troubleshooting, changes, and platform health.

You will work closely with the Client Success Manager, carriers, and vendors to ensure reliable delivery and continuous improvement across a distributed enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience supporting large distributed networks in managed services or similar.
• Advanced troubleshooting across routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, wireless, SD‑WAN and QoS.
• Hands-on Cisco enterprise networking: Catalyst/Nexus/ISR/ASR, ACI/APIC, routing and switching protocols.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, and Meraki security or SD‑WAN platforms.
• Experience with enterprise wireless controllers, RF health, roaming, and firmware lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex incidents and degradations.
• Plan and implement changes with risk assessment and maintenance windows.
• Coordinate patching, validation, and vendor coordination for OS and infrastructure.
• Provide remote break-fix for routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and UC infrastructure.
• Monitor health and performance, analyze telemetry, logs, and alarms for remediation.
• Support voice/UC platforms, including SBCs, Direct Routing, and SIP trunks.
• Maintain accurate diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge-base articles.
• Collaborate with service management, NOC, and client teams; participate in after-hours work if needed.
