Job summary

iT1, a leading national technology solution provider, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Consulting team in a on-site role in Tempe, AZ. You will own senior-level network engineering tasks, drive complex troubleshooting, and coordinate changes across LAN/WAN, security, and UC environments.

The role emphasizes service restoration, escalation management, documentation, and continuous improvement within managed services.

Qualifications

Senior-level experience supporting large, distributed networks in managed-services or equivalent.
Advanced troubleshooting across routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, QoS, and high availability.
Hands-on Cisco enterprise networking experience (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR, ACI/APIC).
Experience with SD-WAN and security platforms (Palo Alto/Cisco ASA/Firepower/Meraki) preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex incidents and degradations.
Lead incident triage, remediation, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
Plan and implement changes with risk assessment, maintenance windows, and rollback plans.
Coordinate patching and firmware updates with vendors.
Provide remote break-fix for routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and UC infra.
Monitor infrastructure health using telemetry, logs, and performance metrics.
Support wireless controllers, APs, RF health, and roaming.
Maintain and update diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and inventories.
Engage in vendor management and service reviews for continuous improvement.
Communicate clearly with clients during incidents and escalations.
