Job summary

Astyra Corporation seeks a Senior Network Engineer for an on-site, 9-month contract in Mechanicsville, VA. You will implement and support enterprise network infrastructure, document configurations, and research network solutions to maintain high availability.

You will design, install, and troubleshoot local and wide-area networks, work with cloud and DevSecOps teams on SD-WAN, and ensure up-to-date topology diagrams and IP schemas. A CCNA/JNCIA-like certification is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Industry-standard networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA-Junos).

Responsibilities

• Implement and support IT Network infrastructure.
• Document, research, analyze, and implement network-related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues to ensure uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders for accurate configurations.
• Assist in installation, documentation, and upgrades of facility data network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SD-WAN configurations.
• Provide documentation, network architecture, topology diagrams, and IP schemes when required.
• Work independently on assigned projects.
