Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to implement and support the agency’s IT network infrastructure in Mechanicsville, VA. The role covers day-to-day operation, documentation, analysis, and implementation of network-related systems.

Ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of enterprise routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, wireless APs, and load balancers, with strong documentation and independent work capability. Certification such as CCNA is expected.

Qualifications

• Industry standard networking certification required (e.g., CCNA, Juniper JNCIA).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, wireless APs and load balancers.
• Ability to document, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure and related devices.
• Troubleshoot network issues affecting performance and uptime.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure configurations are current.
• Oversee installation, documentation, and upgrades of data network systems.
• Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity.
