AT&T is seeking a Network Tools Engineer to ensure that network monitoring, management, and diagnostic tools run efficiently to support network health and performance. This full-time role requires at least 5 days on-site presence at the customer site and location in the United States.

Responsibilities include tool configuration, performance monitoring, alert management, and maintaining inventory of devices and licenses. Strong scripting, automation, and certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant work history or equivalent education as detailed in the job posting.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools and scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Configure, upgrade, and patch network monitoring and management tools.
• Monitor performance, analyze traffic patterns and manage alerts for anomalies.
• Set up and manage alerts to ensure timely responses to issues.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of network hardware and software assets.
• Record real-time changes to network inventory and configurations.
• Collaborate with engineers and IT teams to meet inventory needs.
• Analyze network usage and performance to optimize operations.
• Create and update SOPs and documentation.
