Job summary

Point72 is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Technology team in Stamford, CT. You will build and scale enterprise network infrastructure, configure routing and switching, manage Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and wireless networks to support a global trading platform.

We require 3+ years in enterprise network roles and hands-on Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Arista EOS, and network automation with Python and Ansible. This on-site role includes comprehensive benefits and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering required.
• 3+ years in enterprise network support or engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
• Experience with Arista EOS and Palo Alto firewalls configuration.
• Experience administering F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM and wireless infrastructure.
• Strong scripting and automation with Python, Ansible, REST APIs.
• Solid TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and enterprise high-availability experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale resilient, low-latency enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routing and switching platforms.
• Operate Palo Alto firewalls, manage security policies and VPNs.
• Administer and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP load balancers (LTM/GTM).
• Design and support enterprise wireless infrastructure, including access points and controllers.
• Respond to network incidents, perform root cause analysis and ensure production availability.
• Implement network automation and tooling using scripting languages and APIs.
• Monitor performance and capacity, identify trends, and remediate issues.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, and change management; support 24x7 on-call model.
• Collaborate with security, systems, and application teams; maintain network docs.
