Point72 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Stamford, CT to build and operate high-performance network platforms supporting low-latency trading systems and critical business applications. You'll design data center and campus networks, implement security controls, automate provisioning with Python/Ansible, and collaborate across application, security, and operations teams.

This role also involves on-call rotation and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years hands-on network engineering in enterprise/financial services.
• Deep expertise in data center and campus networks; VXLAN-based fabrics.
• Hands-on with Cisco/Arista and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Automation experience using Python/Ansible and IaC concepts.
• Strong observability, troubleshooting, and incident response skills.
• Able to collaborate across teams and participate in on-call rotation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate high-performance network platforms supporting low-latency trading systems.
• Design and deploy scalable campus, data center, and WAN architectures.
• Implement and manage network security controls and segmentation.
• Automate provisioning and validation using scripting and IaC.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams for performance.
• Lead upgrades, capacity planning, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain network runbooks and change control artifacts.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
