Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure for a DoD environment in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. You will apply Cisco routing, Palo Alto security solutions, and Secure GlobalProtect VPN experience to support classified operations.

The role requires DoD clearance, CCNA, Security+ or equivalent, and experience with RMF/STIG compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
Active Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility for TS clearance.
Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, QoS, OSPF, MPLS, and related protocols.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure.
Engineer and support Cisco routing and switching environments for mission‑critical networks.
Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing and switching technologies (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
Support WAN connectivity using MPLS, VPN, and Internet transport.
Configure and maintain Palo Alto NGFWs and GlobalProtect VPNs.
Monitor network health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain engineering docs, diagrams, and SOPs.
Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure RMF/STIG compliance in a DoD environment.
