Job summary

Trace Systems seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support LAN/WAN/WLAN operations at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. You will drive security, policy compliance, and enterprise network performance in a DoD environment.

The role requires CCNP and CISSP, IAM Level III, US Secret clearance, and DoD Health Care Information Systems experience. Some travel to supported sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship is required due to contract.
• IAM Level III certification per DoD 8570.01M.
• CCNP and CISSP certifications.
• Experience with DoD Health Care Information Systems.
• Mastery of key networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.).
• Proficiency with routers, switches, and WAN technologies.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN security to protect DoD systems.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and IDS.
• Provide written technical recommendations for network changes or upgrades.
• Document network changes via tickets and standards coordination.
• Evaluate vendor products and recommend solutions for DoD and regional requirements.
• Develop and enforce LAN/WLAN/WAN procedures to ensure compliance.
• Communicate status updates and issue resolutions to customers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across OSI layers using diagnostics tools.
