Job summary

SOSi seeks a Senior Network Engineer for Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, to architect and support IT solutions for 5,000+ users across the Pacific. You will lead LAN/WAN design, apply CSfC controls, and ensure DoD STIG compliance while collaborating with multiple engineering teams.

The role requires active TS clearance and DoD experience. Ideal candidates bring deep Cisco routing/switching expertise, firewall proficiency, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 environment, including

Qualifications

• Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or Networking or 8+ years of DoD network experience.
• 5+ years in Layer-3 networking implementation and support.
• Extensive Cisco routing and switching experience.
• DoD secure network environments experience (firewalls, encryption, VLANs, tunnels).
• CCNP Enterprise or Security certification; CCIE preferred.
• CSA/IS/ITIL familiarity and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement LAN/WAN architectures to support data integration.
• Configure and troubleshoot eBGP routing within Palo Alto environments.
• Provide Tier-3 support and incident escalation for network issues.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams on architecture/engineering efforts.
• Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs and custody of government equipment.
• Document network configurations and perform regular network discovery.
