Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the DHS Insider Threat Program (ITP) under the HEITS contract. You will design, sustain, and evolve the network enterprise, manage upgrades, and ensure security controls across LAN/WAN and cross-domain solutions.

The role requires a CCNP and extensive hands-on experience with Cisco gear, security architectures, and network monitoring tools. Expect collaboration with federal clients and potential DHS clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required with 12–15 years of relevant experience. Higher education may substitute for experience.
CCNP certification required; CISSP or CCNP Security preferred.
Experience engineering, deploying, and operating LAN/WAN switches and firewalls in integrated network environments.
Knowledge of defense-in-depth, security architecture, IT device integrity, and security controls.
Experience with Cisco devices (Catalyst 2900/4500/9300/9400, 6800, Nexus 9000) and Cisco Firepower/ASA.

Responsibilities

Support the DHS ITP network infrastructure and perform routine maintenance and capacity management.
Oversee High Speed Guard Cross Domain solution for data transfer across domains.
Document configuration baselines and support system recapitalization plans.
Serve as SME for ITP network infrastructure and respond to incidents with performance improvements.
