Leidos is seeking a Sr. Network Design Engineer (Access) to support WAN/LAN networks, provide design, upgrades and configuration guidance to the architecture team.
The role acts as SME for WAN/LAN technologies and vendors; supports intra- and inter-network data communications; and offers tiered technical support as needed. Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Poly clearance
- 16 years of combined work history and education
- DoD 8140 IAT2 compliance
- Juniper training: JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIE
- Experience with CAN/LAN and WAN networks
- Familiar with firewalls and network timing
- Experience with MPLS networks and VPN services
- Strong documentation and briefing skills
Responsibilities
- Design and improve MPLS network architecture and services with documentation
- Develop secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs; obtain ATO for new devices/software
- Lab evaluation and testing of network services; integrate with NMS
- Evaluate new network technologies and solutions
- Document designs with diagrams, BOMs, cabling sheets, configurations
- Provide expertise to Operations for fault isolation and resolution
- Configure and troubleshoot QoS and traffic optimization
- Support Tier-4 production troubleshooting and proactive network analysis
- Utilize network analysis tools for problem identification and post-mortem analysis
