Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Design Engineer (Access) to design, upgrade and support WAN/LAN networks for a government customer site in Chantilly, VA. You will serve as SME for WAN/LAN technologies, ensure secure designs per DISA STIGs, and obtain Authority to Operate for new devices.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, DoD 8140 IAT Level 2, and extensive Juniper experience. Expect office presence full-time at Chantilly; competitive salary and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliant.
• Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP/JNCIE certifications.
• Experience with CAN/LAN and WAN network analysis.
• Familiar with firewalls and network timing; MPLS/VPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve MPLS network architecture and services.
• Develop secure network designs aligned with DISA STIGs and ATO.
• Perform lab testing, integration with NMS, and security certification.
• Provide Tier-4 production troubleshooting and proactive network analysis.
• Configure and troubleshoot QoS to optimize bandwidth usage.
