Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Lead on the Exchange team to own the network infrastructure, deployment, and tooling behind a unified trading platform that spans cloud and on-prem environments.

You will preserve ultra-low latency in multi-node trading systems and mentor engineers while partnering with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams. The role demands 8+ years in latency-sensitive environments, deep routing and security expertise, and strong automation skills (Python/Ansible).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network, infrastructure, or SRE engineering experience in latency-sensitive environments.
• Hands-on expertise with multicast networking, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, and low-latency data-center switching.
• Proven incident response leadership for production trading systems.
• Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and network telemetry.
• Ability to use AI responsibly to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own, operate, and optimize ultra-low-latency networks and data-center infra.
• Design routing, traffic segmentation, and multicast market-data architectures.
• Deploy and operate firewalls and secure connectivity across Fortinet and Palo Alto.
• Drive observability with SNMP, gRPC telemetry, and latency analysis.
• Lead production changes, incident response, and on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams.
