Job summary

TCT Federal Credit Union in Ballston Spa, NY is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to design, secure, and optimize the credit union's LAN/WAN and data center infrastructure.

You will lead firewall/VPN configurations, manage virtualization, AD, and cloud integrations while ensuring compliance with FFIEC/GLBA and driving modernization initiatives.

This in-office role reports to the IT Director, mentors staff, and partners with leadership on strategic technology planning and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of progressively responsible experience in network administration.
• Expert-level knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, etc).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V), Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across locations.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
• Lead network modernization projects (SD-WAN, segmentation, wireless redesign).
• Ensure high availability and performance of network systems.
• Own network security stack: firewalls, IDS/IPS, MFA, patching.
• Mentor IT staff and collaborate on budgeting and risk management.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and asset inventories.
