Job summary

Sierra Central Credit Union in California is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise network across data centers, branches, and cloud environments. You will work under the IT Manager to ensure secure, high-availability networks with next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, and advanced routing.

Responsibilities include configuring firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless APs; managing BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, VPNs, QoS, and network security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Certifications such as CCNP Enterprise/Security, CISSP or Security+ preferred.
• Experience with NextGen firewalls, SD-WAN, VPNs, and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and optimize enterprise network across data centers, branches, and cloud.
• Configure/manage firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Manage routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP), VPNs, NAT, QoS, and DNS/DHCP.
• Lead multi-site projects and mentor junior staff.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform incident post-mortems.
