Job summary

AHEAD is recruiting for a Senior Specialty Solutions Engineer-Network on the East Coast, preferably NYC metro. You will lead network infrastructure initiatives, work with vendor teams, and design architectures for customers.

The role emphasizes pre-sales leadership and deep networking expertise across campus, data center, and cloud connectivity. Must be able to evolve into a trusted technical advisor for accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent
• Pre Sales and Data Center experience is required
• Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading technical pre-sales campaigns
• Ability to perform under pressure and influence others to achieve results
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Independent, self-motivated, self-starter attitude
• Able to work well within a team and partner environment
• Customer-focused and results driven

Responsibilities

• Participation, Leadership and Coordination of the AHEAD virtual team for Network Infrastructure
• Work with partners and vendors to maintain technical and sales relationships
• Act as a thought leader designing, architecting, and consulting for Ahead clients
• Build skills, relationships and credibility across segments to drive product, services and consulting sales
• Support sales teams by providing advice, solutions or proposals matching customer requirements
• Develop relationships with account managers, partners and customers to support sales objectives
• Strategize and execute technical sales calls
• Complete pre-sales documentation quickly and accurately
• Qualify sales opportunities based on customer requirements and decision processes
• Present and market designs and business justifications to customers and management
• Mentor entry-level team members
• Maintain strong product/tech/industry knowledge
