Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Specialty Solutions Engineer—Network to drive core network and security solutions for prospects and customers. You will partner with sales to craft account strategies, identify technologies and vendors, and scale through internal experts.

As a thought leader, you will define strategy, compare approaches, and build key relationships while sizing and configuring products. Deep campus wired/wireless knowledge and cloud familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Pre Sales and Data Center experience is required.
• Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working as a technical lead in a pre-sales sales campaign.
• Ability to work under critical conditions and influence others to achieve results.
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent presentation skills.
• Must be independent, self-motivated, a self-starter and possess a good working attitude.
• Able to work well within a team and partner environment.
• Customer focused and results driven.

Responsibilities

• Participation, Leadership and Coordination of the AHEAD virtual team for Network Infrastructure.
• Maintain vendor technical and sales relationships with selected vendors.
• Design, architect, and consult for Ahead clients as a Network Specialist.
• Build skills, relationships, and industry credibility across segments to drive product, services and consulting sales.
• Support sales teams during engagements with advice and solutions or proposals.
• Develop relationships with account managers, partners and customers to support sales objectives.
• Strategize and execute technical sales calls.
• Complete pre-sales documentation quickly and accurately.
• Qualify sales opportunities based on customer requirements and funding.
• Present and market the design and value of Ahead solutions to customers and management.
• Mentor entry-level team members.
