Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead enterprise and data center assessments, focusing on a gap analysis across Cisco infrastructure and a remediation roadmap. The role combines architecture judgment with hands-on Layer 2/3 switching and requires documenting findings for IT leadership.

You will evaluate redundancy, security posture, and high-availability design, and present recommendations for phased improvements. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Active CCNP certification (Enterprise or Data Center) required.
• 8+ years of enterprise or data center network engineering experience; 12+ years for Principal level.
• Proven experience leading network assessments and producing formal deliverables.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• High-availability design and NGFW integration expertise.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optics and related transceivers.
• Experience with network analysis tools such as SolarWinds or Wireshark.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current LAN, data center, and perimeter network for topology, configurations, and lifecycle.
• Identify single points of failure and gaps in redundancy (HSRP/VRRP, vPC, STP, routing convergence).
• Evaluate security posture, segmentation, and NGFW integration; document risk-rated gaps.
• Document findings in a risk-rated gap assessment report with current and target state diagrams.
• Recommend remediation strategies and develop a phased roadmap with quick wins and longer-term changes.
• Present findings to IT leadership and support remediation activities.
