Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Network Support Lead – L3 to own complex enterprise networking challenges in a role combining advanced troubleshooting, security, architecture support, and technical leadership. You will mentor junior engineers, manage Fortinet firewall environments, and drive network reliability and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of networking experience with 3–4 years in L3 or senior escalation roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/XE and NX-OS.
• Strong expertise in routing protocols including OSPF and BGP, and switching (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
• Strong experience with Fortinet FortiGate (FortiOS) and Meraki wireless.
• Experience with SD-WAN, VXLAN, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), and Cisco ISE.
• Solid understanding of network security, VPNs, QoS, and segmentation.
• Experience with NMS/SNMP monitoring, Syslog, and packet capture tools.
• Working knowledge of automation and scripting using Python, Bash, and EEM.
• CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong analytical and structured troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication during high-severity incidents and mentoring.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, automation-focused work style.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the final L3 escalation point for complex network issues (QoS, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
• Perform advanced packet/traffic analysis with Wireshark, FortiAnalyzer, Syslog.
• Lead P1/P2 incident bridge calls and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
• Contribute to high-level and low-level designs for sites, migrations, and firewall architectures.
• Validate designs for scalability, security and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Recommend improvements across routing, switching, wireless, and network security.
• Manage and optimize Fortinet FortiGate environments (policies, NAT, VPNs, HA).
• Audit firewall rules for least-privilege access and compliance.
• Support network segmentation, hardening, and compliance initiatives.
• Perform capacity planning, traffic analysis, and performance tuning.
• Monitor network health and implement preventive/resiliency measures.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, EEM).
• Automate backups, compliance checks, and monitoring integrations.
• Lead major network changes, RFCs, rollback plans, and post-change reports.
• Coordinate with application, security, and ISP teams.
• Work with ISPs and OEMs on escalations and TAC cases.
• Validate circuit performance and last-mile troubleshooting.
• Maintain network diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and standards.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and promote best practices.
