Job summary
Transamerica is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer to set technical direction for Windows Services built on C# and the .NET Framework. You will own high-risk services, drive reliability, observability, and auditability across teams, and establish patterns and reference designs that raise engineering quality enterprise-wide.
The role demands strong expertise in multithreading, SQL Server design, and data-access standards, with leadership to mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Six years of professional software engineering experience with C# and the .NET Framework.
- Strong multithreading and concurrency expertise including thread lifecycle management and synchronization.
- Proven track record diagnosing and permanently resolving intermittent production failures.
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and lead architecture, design, development, deployment, and support of Windows Services in C#/.NET 4.8.
- Act as SME for multi-threaded design and resolve complex issues like deadlocks and race conditions.
- Lead diagnosis of high-impact production issues and implement root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
