Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Denver to drive technical execution in the Insurance domain. You will build scalable, compliant software and modernize legacy systems with domain-driven design and cloud-first practices.

You will lead Epics end-to-end, champion AI-assisted development, and collaborate with product and domain experts to deliver high-impact software solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of 4+ years in a Senior Software Engineer role.
• 4-year Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or a Master's degree in Technology or Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design & System Evolution: Decompose complex business scenarios into service-based architectures and modernize legacy platforms.
• Domain Alignment: Translate insurance rules (claims, eligibility, remittance) into high-performing solutions.
• Epic Ownership: Own delivery of Epics end-to-end with risk, dependencies, and DORA KPI management.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Integrate AI tools to automate design, tests, and code reviews and drive efficiency.
• Software Design & Quality: Enforce code quality with tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and align stakeholders.
