Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API. You will work with the ADM team and collaborate with cross-functional technology, delivery and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high‑performing solutions.

This hybrid role is remote within the United States (Charlotte, NC time). Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in backend development with REST APIs and SQL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and applying unit testing practices in software development.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Awareness of DevOps practices and experience supporting production applications.
• Experience in banking or financial services environments is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and application components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code while contributing to complex modules and existing application features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve solution quality and production stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, support delivery priorities and resolve technical issues.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required by project and client needs.
