Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Senior .NET Developer to build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API. You will collaborate with the ADM team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

The role is hybrid, remote-friendly within the United States, and requires 5+ years of backend experience, including REST APIs, SQL Server, Git, and DevOps awareness. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of strong professional backend development with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and applying unit testing practices.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Awareness of DevOps practices and supporting production applications.
• Experience in banking or financial services environments is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code while contributing to complex modules and existing application features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve solution quality and production stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, support delivery priorities and resolve technical issues.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required by project and client needs.
