Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for client projects. You will work with the ADM team and collaborate across technology, delivery and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in backend development with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API, plus experience with REST APIs, SQL Server, Git, unit testing, and exposure to microservices and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Eng, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development with C#, .NET and Web API.
• Experience building REST APIs and using SQL Server.
• Git and unit testing experience in software development.
• Exposure to microservices and cloud platforms.
• DevOps awareness and production support experience.
• Banking or financial services background preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components.
• Write scalable, secure, high-performance code for complex modules.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Work autonomously while supporting overlapping time zones as needed.
