Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for client applications. You will work within the ADM team, collaborating across technology, delivery and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

The role offers a hybrid work model with remote eligibility across the United States (time in Charlotte, NC). Evening/onsite interviews may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on with REST APIs and SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and unit testing practices.
• Exposure to microservices and cloud platforms.
• DevOps awareness and production support experience.
• Banking/financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code for complex modules.
• Participate in code reviews, unit tests and troubleshooting to improve quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support delivery priorities and resolve issues.
• Work independently while accommodating overlapping time zones when required.
