Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will join the ADM team, collaborating across technology, delivery and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

Required 5+ years of backend experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Web API, REST APIs and SQL Server. This role emphasizes code quality, unit testing, and cross-team collaboration in a hybrid US-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on REST API development and SQL Server experience.
• Experience with Git and unit testing practices.
• Exposure to microservices and cloud platforms.
• DevOps awareness and production support experience.
• Banking/financial services experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code and contribute to complex modules.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and priorities.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required.
