Job summary

Victory Live is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to own the most challenging .NET services and drive architecture decisions across the engineering org. You will code the hard parts, mentor teammates, and push AI-assisted development using Claude, Copilot, and related agentic workflows.

In this role you’ll lead planning and execution from design through production, improve systems, and ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software with .NET.
• Strong depth in backend systems, API design, or distributed services.
• Mentorship experience and a track record of helping teammates grow.
• Fluent, deliberate use of AI tooling across the full engineering lifecycle (design, code, test, debug, review, docs).
• Ability to explain tradeoffs clearly in writing and during design discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of major initiatives from planning through launch with product and technical leadership.
• Take on the hard parts, e.g., rewrites or large data migrations in .NET services.
• Shape architecture; participate in design discussions and write design docs.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers; mentor AI tooling fluency.
• Drive process improvements and reduce recurring pain in workflows.
• Push AI-native practices with internal tooling and agentic workflows.
• Be a reliable code reviewer on PRs across projects.
• Operate cleanly on-call and write postmortems when needed.
