Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will work with ADM Team, collaborating across tech, delivery and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high‑performing solutions.

The role emphasizes REST API development, SQL Server, Git, and unit testing within a hybrid model. Open to qualified US applicants; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in backend development with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• REST APIs development and SQL Server integration experience.
• Git usage and unit testing practices in development.
• Exposure to microservices and cloud platforms; DevOps awareness.
• Experience in banking/financial services is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components.
• Write scalable, secure, high‑performance code and complex modules.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet requirements.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required.
