Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to build, enhance and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for client applications. You will collaborate with the ADM team and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in backend development with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Web API, plus REST APIs, SQL Server, Git and unit testing. This is a hybrid role with some travel and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and applying unit testing practices in software development.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure, high-performance code while contributing to complex modules and features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve quality and stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and support delivery priorities.
