Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to build, enhance and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work across time zones to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on backend development in C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API, with REST API integration and SQL Server. Hybrid work model; US-based applicants only. Visa transfer or sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and applying unit testing practices.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Awareness of DevOps practices and production support.
• Banking or financial services domain experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services and APIs using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code and contribute to complex modules.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and support delivery.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required.
