Job summary

Cognizant in Hartford, CT is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to lead design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, and global engineering teams to drive key initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on enterprise .NET development.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC/Web API/Web Forms.
• Experience with .NET Core / .NET 5/6.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs with ADO.NET and EF.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design, code reviews, and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies and coordinate onsite and offshore teams to deliver sprint commitments on time.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and lead architecture, high-level and low-level design discussions.
• Develop solutions hands-on with .NET technologies while championing coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Serve as technical point of contact for implementation and production support, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct code reviews, and communicate resolutions clearly.
• Mentor team members and strengthen delivery through technical governance, estimation, risk management, deployment planning, and continuous improvement.
