Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior C# .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications. You will collaborate on architecture, APIs, and database design using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and SQL Server, with Angular for front-end tasks.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, CI/CD contributions, and mentoring in an Agile environment, in Lake Forest, CA.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, and ORM (Entity Framework).
• Experience building RESTful services and microservices.
• Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Angular for frontend development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize database objects, queries, stored procedures, and data models in SQL Server.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
• Work with Angular to develop and enhance user interfaces, implement UI components, and consume backend APIs.
• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and related frontend technologies.
• Design and integrate reusable UI components, services, and RESTful APIs to deliver seamless user experiences and business functionality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
