Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a NEPA Analyst to support federal, state, and local environmental projects in the Southeast. You will work with teams across the region to prepare complex NEPA documents and coordinate public involvement with engineers, planners, and scientists.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of NEPA experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent writing and communication skills. A hybrid schedule and GDOT familiarity are preferred, with opportunities for growth and client‑facing work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a NEPA Analyst supporting transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of NEPA and applicable environmental regulations, including Section 4(f), Section 106, Section 404, Endangered Species Act.
• Ability to manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NEPA documents for Design‑Bid‑Build and Design‑Build projects.
• Coordinate with engineers on avoidance and minimization measures.
• Lead or support public engagement and stakeholder coordination.
• Develop environmental scopes‑of‑work, schedules, and fee estimates.
• Participate in QAQC for environmental deliverables and mentor juniors.
• Coordinate with specialists to complete tasks when needed.
