Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a NEPA Analyst based in Louisiana to support federal, state, and local environmental projects in the Southeast Environmental Planning & Permitting sector. The role involves preparing NEPA documents, coordinating with engineers, and leading environmental project teams on design-build projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of NEPA experience, familiarity with LaDOTD procedures, and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Environmental Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a NEPA Analyst supporting transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience navigating the NEPA process and LaDOTD environmental procedures.
• Strong knowledge of NEPA and related environmental regulations.
• Experience managing project scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Experience leading environmental project teams and coordinating with designers.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as environmental project lead or NEPA discipline lead for infrastructure projects requiring environmental support.
• Prepare NEPA documents (CEs, EAs, EISs) for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects.
• Coordinate with engineers on avoidance and minimization of environmental impacts.
• Lead or support public engagement and stakeholder coordination activities.
• Assist in developing and reviewing environmental scopes-of-work, schedules, and proposals.
• Manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
