Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation in Washington, PA, seeks an NDT Quality Specialist III to lead advanced nondestructive testing initiatives across processes and products. You will drive CTQ, KPI, and CAPA programs, applying Six Sigma, Lean, and PPS methodologies.

The role requires ASNT Level III credentials and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 3–5 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant experience in NDT and quality programs.
• Must obtain Carpenter Level III credentials within 6 months.
• ASNT Level III status in required NDT methods is required.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, FMEA, CTQ and QA principles.

Responsibilities

• Proactively improve NDT processes and overall product quality to increase FTT.
• Develop CTQ, KCP, and control plans using FMEA and SPC.
• Reduce customer claims, scrap and deviations from standard work.
• Lead method improvements for NDT, inspection, and sampling.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
