Precision Castparts is seeking an NDT Level III to oversee NAS 410 qualification and certification of NDT personnel, audit NDT systems, and ensure compliance across facilities. The role acts as a technical authority and liaison for PCC, guiding how inspection practices align with customer requirements and industry standards.

The position requires advanced Level 3 qualifications, strong communication, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifikationen

• Must satisfy the education and documented NDT experience prerequisites for initial Level 3 qualification under NAS 410 and PCC's Written Practice.
• Certifiable within 120 days of employment to Level 3 in UT, PT and MT; RT/DRT may be required.
• ASNT Level 3 preferable.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; capable of working with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated knowledge applicable to UT billet inspection and UT forging inspection.
• Working knowledge of nickel-, cobalt-, titanium-, and steel-alloy metallurgy, heat treatment, and interpretation of drawings and acceptance criteria.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% to PCC facilities, customer locations, supplier locations.

Aufgaben

• Administer, approve, or oversee qualification and employer certification of NDT personnel per NAS 410 and PCC Written Practice.
• Analyze inspection data and serve as escalation point; research defects and recommend modifications.
• Act as escalation point for NDT-related items with customers; visit customers and suppliers as needed.
• Provide guidance on NDT issues to sales, engineering and manufacturing.
• Perform system audits on NDT areas across campuses and sub-tier suppliers.
• Assist in developing new NDT processes and procedures with new technology.
• Ensure NDT activities comply with contractual, customer, regulatory, PCC requirements; interpret codes and specs.
