Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking an NDT Level III – Senior Engineer I to lead and optimize nondestructive testing across facilities. The role requires directing qualification programs, interfacing with customers and auditors, and driving process improvements in NDT methods and equipment.

Ideal candidates have Level III UT certification per SNT-TC-1A/NAS 410, extensive NDT experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 10 years NDT experience or 4-year college degree with 7 years NDT experience.
• Qualified and certifiable to NDT Level III in UT per SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, and customer specs.
• Strong knowledge of NDT system management, NDT audits, corrective actions, and UT/ET test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review NDT requirements and write procedures.
• Lead and administer the Personnel Qualification and Certification program for NDT operators.
• Interface with customers and third-party auditors on NDT questions.
• Support NDT operations with training and troubleshooting; review certifications from outside sources.
• Lead audits of NDT operations and ensure compliance with AS9100 and Nadcap.
