Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking an NDT Quality Specialist IV at our Tanner, AL facility. You will direct NDT quality improvements, establish CTQ/KPC/KCC, mentor Level 1–3 staff, and drive SPC-based process enhancements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires ASNT Level 3 in ultrasonic testing, 6+ years in NDT Level 3, and a willingness to obtain Carpenter Level 3 within 6 months. Bachelor's degree preferred; extensive knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean is essential.

Qualifications

• ASNT Level 3 Certification in ultrasonic inspection is required.
• 6+ years of NDT Level 3 experience in similar roles.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; willingness to obtain Carpenter Level 3 within 6 months.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Direct proactive improvement of NDT and quality processes to boost FTT.
• Establish CTQ, KPC, KCC, control plans and FMEA with project teams.
• Mentor NDT Level 1–3 personnel in quality strategies and tools.
• Identify quality issues and reduce claims, scrap, and deviations.
• Lead maintenance of NDT calibration records and certifications.
• Lead internal and external audits of the quality program.
