Carpenter Technology Corporation seeks an NDT Quality Specialist IV to guide advanced nondestructive testing and quality improvements across production. You will lead complex NDT methods, mentor Level 1–3 personnel, and drive data‑driven problem solving to prevent defects and customer impact.

The role requires ASNT Level 3 in ultrasonic inspection, Carpenter Level 3 within 6 months, and 6+ years as an NDT Level 3.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• ASNT Level 3 certification in ultrasonic inspection required.
• Carpenter Level 3 certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• 6+ years of experience as an NDT Level 3.
• Deep knowledge of NDT methods: ultrasonic, eddy current, visual, liquid penetrant, magnetic.

Responsabilités

• Direct proactive improvement of NDT and other processes to raise FTT.
• Establish CTQ, KPC, KCC, control plans, and FMEA.
• Mentor NDT Level 1-3 personnel in NDT strategies.
• Identify quality issues to reduce claims, remakes and scrap.
• Improve OEE for critical work centers.
• Lead ISO/NDT audits of the quality program.
• Lead development of robust NPI processes.
• Develop training materials for NDT personnel.
• Maintain calibration and records for NDT equipment.
• Review NDT specifications and support customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
